The motto of the National Service Scheme (N.S.S.) is "Not Me,  But You", This expresses the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless services and appreciation of another man's point of view and also show consideration for fellow human beings. It underlines the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of the society as a whole. The main aim of National Service Scheme is personality development through social service or community service. This programme is to inculcate the social welfare thoughts in the students, and to provide service to the society without any prejudice.

One unit of the National Service Scheme are working organized in the college for motivating students to participate in social work each associated with 100 students. NSS works for literacy mission, blood donation, save environment, Polio immunization and Aids awareness. In this scheme only students of B.A/B.Sc 1st and 2nd yr. can participate. They should be registered for NSS at the time of admission. Re-registration is necessary for 2nd yr. students. Two programs are conducted in this scheme. 1. Regular program. 2. Day – night 7 days Camp Program. Student will be awarded a social service certificate only if they have spent 240 hr. in the regular programs as well as attended 7 days camp. For the NSS ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate, student should qualify the respective exam conducted by the university.
